Muuvment Labs

Let AI do the drudge work.
Human time is
precious.

We believe AI can take on the work humans shouldn't have to do, but only when implemented responsibly, with nuance, and with the complexity this technology demands. That conviction drives everything we build.

November 2022 was a technological revolution that will fundamentally reshape society. We've seen it first hand, working with companies as AI changes how they operate - and how society operates too.

Our Story

How we got here.

Muuvment did not start in AI. It started with a conviction that technology could solve real problems for companies and communities. That conviction has guided every stage of our growth, from raising awareness of global issues to building compliance tools for publicly traded companies, to the AI implementation practice we run today.

2013
Zabi Yaqeen left commercial litigation after nine years in Toronto. Kim Carter, a lifelong entrepreneur and founder of several charitable organisations, joined forces with Zabi to raise awareness of pressing global issues through media and technology.
2018
Muuvment was founded in Bermuda as a software company, building technology to run campaigns that addressed environmental, social, and governance issues for companies.
2019–20
With increasing regulation, Muuvment shifted focus toward ESG compliance, helping companies accelerate how they managed and responded to regulatory and compliance requirements. We ran initiatives for publicly traded companies and banks, developing a deep understanding of the security and governance requirements at those levels.
Nov 2022
ChatGPT launched. We saw immediately that AI could take on the compliance work, repetitive analysis, and deep data processing that consumed so much of our clients' time. We started building AI tools right away and never stopped.
2024
Muuvment Labs was founded as a dedicated AI implementation practice. We started helping companies be more resilient by supporting their workforce. Based on King's College London's cutting-edge research, they selected us as technology partner. We kept hearing from clients about whether we could support them in areas outside of our core focus at the time. Our years of building software, understanding governance, and working at the intersection of compliance and technology positioned us to answer that demand.
2026
Labs becomes our core offering. We see a real need for companies who want to take advantage of the power of AI but want to do so responsibly, with privacy, security, and good governance at the forefront. Responsible business has been part of how we have supported companies since the beginning. Now it is focused on AI, because of how powerful this technology is and the impact it can have. What we kept hearing
We bought AI tools but nobody knows how to use them
We tried to apply AI to our workflows and it didn't work
We don't understand the capabilities, limitations, or risks
We can't figure out how to train our staff on any of this
What we realised
The technology was advancing faster than anyone could adopt it
Vendors sold capability, but there was a growing need for hands-on implementation support
Companies needed a partner who had already built with AI, not one learning on their budget
The Implementation Gap

We already had the answer.

We had been building software at Muuvment since 2018, including Muuvment IQ and a full suite of AI-powered tools from the moment generative AI became viable. When companies started asking us for help implementing AI in their organisations, we did not need to figure out the technology. We had already done it.

What we brought was something most consultancies could not: real experience building AI systems that work in production, combined with a deep understanding of governance, risk, and how organisations actually absorb change. We believe the future of software is customised solutions, not one-size-fits-all platforms that companies must fit their problems into. Muuvment Labs is the result. A dedicated practice that takes everything we have learned and applies it to companies who need AI to work, not a slide deck that says it will.

Why Us
01
We build and govern.
Most boutiques build without governance. Most governance firms don't build. We do both, so your AI works in production and meets the highest standards of compliance and accountability.
02
Right-sized for your team.
Faster and more accountable than the Big Four. More structured and reliable than freelancers. Senior engineers on every project, not juniors learning on your budget.
03
We leave you capable, not dependent.
Knowledge transfer is built into every engagement. When we finish, your team owns the system, the documentation, and the confidence to evolve it.

Our Position

Responsible AI

AI is the most consequential technology of our generation. We build production AI systems because we believe in their power to transform businesses. But that power demands responsibility. We have seen what happens when AI is deployed without governance, without oversight, and without honesty about its risks.

We Will

  • Implement AI systems that augment human capability
  • Include governance and human oversight in every engagement
  • Measure and report environmental impact of AI deployments
  • Invest in junior talent development alongside AI adoption
  • Build safety reviews into consumer-facing AI
  • Maintain transparency about AI limitations and failure modes

We Will Not

  • Accept contracts for autonomous weapons or defence targeting
  • Build surveillance or mass monitoring systems
  • Develop AI designed to manipulate emotions or create dependency
  • Support adult content generation or exploitation
  • Deploy AI without appropriate governance frameworks
  • Misrepresent AI capabilities to clients or stakeholders
